an ode to analog

Writing as a revolutionary act.

Postcards were the original text message. A direct, personal way to stay connected before screens took over our lives. This series collection aims to reconnect with that spirit, even if briefly. Each card is printed on Japanese washi paper made by the Awagami Factory, a family-run workshop with over 400 years of craft behind it. The paper is handmade using river water and natural fibers, and it carries a tactile quality you can feel the moment you hold it.

Grab your favorite pen because these postcards are a simple way to slow down and reach someone with intention. They also offer an accessible way to collect my original artwork, which can be gifted, collected, and sent by mail.

Sales from this series support my upcoming residency at Awagami, where I’ll learn to make washi by hand as part of Threads of Blackness, a cultural exploration in Japan (2026). Your purchase helps fund travel, materials, and future projects that center on artisan craftsmanship and cultural exchange.

New sets will be released regularly.
